Ah! Fall harvest!

A new crop of soaps is ready for harvest! These beauties just came out of the molds and are, as of yet, unscented. I'm trying a new (to me) technique of making plain soap (sweet cream?) and making scents of it, later. The theory is I get a more efficient use of essential oils, better consistency, smoother texture, and world peace. I'm really only trying this for the sake of the world, after all.

These five loaves represent about 35 pounds of soap and I'll probably make two different flavors. But, with my new technique, I should be able to make much smaller, more experimental batches. Don't be surprised if you find me selling broccoli soap at the Cherrywood Art Fair. Ok, be a little surprised.....
